A Mott cell (plasma cell) in a patient's bone marrow aspiration smear, who was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. The basophilic cytoplasm appears grape-like due to spherical inclusions, which are Russel bodies containing condensed cytoplasmic immunoglobulin. Mott cells can be found in cases of infection or hematologic malignancies (May-Grünwald Giemsa Stain, 1000x magnification, bone marrow aspirate).
